MUSICAL RECITAL 2016

Costa Staff Music presented a recital for my students to enhance their performance experience and confidence. I performed my composition "Melancholic Moon" with the assistance of my own students playing their own ocean drums that they created during my private lessons.

I am beyond grateful to have the opportunity to share my experiences, knowledge, and creative teaching with them. They all have been with me from as little as a month to a few years and all had the chance to perform on stage and showcase their talents.

PHOTO BY GISEL COSTA'S STUDENT MANVEER

It is summer time! Although it is time for a small break, it is important to also keep up the consistency with practicing!

To my students or any student that will resume for the Fall, kindly please follow the homework directions added to your Assignment Tab. It will gradually allow a smooth process for your child or for yourself when you return.

These are a few tips that might help:

1. Practice

- Practice while your parents are preparing dinner or washing dishes.

- Invite friends and family over and play through the songs.

- For small children play for your toys and add it to your play story.

 2. Review

- Review your repertoires and books and play through them.

3. Record

- Record yourself or ask someone to assist. Definitely watch and listen to yourself.

- Share your recordings to friends, families, and/or social media, always crediting composers and arrangers.

Enjoy your summer!
